**POSITION:** Welder 1 or 2
**DAY SHIFT:** Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (OT as needed)
**PAY RATE:** $23.50 - $26.00 per hour (Depending on experience) Full Benefits Package
**LOCATION:** Mandan, ND
**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.
### **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
* Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
* Learn company policies and procedures
* Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards
* Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead
* Problem solves simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement
* Perform measurements within specified tolerances
* Learn to read blueprints
* Work well with others
* Work safely and accurately
* Prompt and dependable attendance.
* Other duties as assigned.
### **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES**
* Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
* Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
* Perform measurements within specified tolerances
* Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
* General knowledge of equipment and operations.
* Basic understanding of Weld symbols
* Understand and follow oral and written directions.
* Read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
* Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
* Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
* Be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
* Make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
* Be dependable and trustworthy.

### **EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**
* 1-2 year(s) of welding experience preferred.
