**POSITION: Fabricator/ Welder**
**Welder/Fabricator General Position Information**
We are looking for a motivated, experienced welder to join our company as a Welder Fabricator. As part of our team of professional fabricators, you construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished welds. You follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes. You are responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform simple tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance.
Some Diesel Mechanic Experience is helpful

**Position Details:**
Fabricator/ Welder for work on medium \& heavy duty trucks, forklifts, tractors/trailers and other small equipment.
Assist in and work independently as needed repairing and maintaining diesel trucks, power equipment, and other mechanical equipment
Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
Produce strong, clean welds
Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
Plasma and Oxy Acetylene torch, Mig Weld Steel.
General equipment troubleshooting and maintenance: Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs
Maintain a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area including ensuring work area.
Conduct all maintenance while remaining in compliance with all relevant Federal, State, local, and company guidelines and requirements
May assist with road calls/repairs as necessary
Record time spent, parts used and repairs and/or maintenance conducted in computer system as required by departmental/company policy
**Experience/Skills:**
Prior experience welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
Must have knowledge/experience/skills with the following:
**Qualifications:**
2 years of experience as a diesel engine/heavy truck Welded/Fabricator
Must be safety minded
Must work well with others as well as independently
This position works in EXTREME Temperatures and is very weather-dependent
**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout an 8 hour work day
Ability to drive on company business and be MVR approved
100% standing, bending and stooping
Weather dependent temperatures (cold in the winter and hot in the summer)
85% of the work day is outside in the elements
**Additional information:**
Full Time
The work requires moderate-heavy physical exertion
Applicants must be physically fit and be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 70 lbs.
